This Set Off A Firestorm
This sculpture ignited a bit of a firestorm. People called me, for all intents and purposes, a no-talent hack.
Somehow, I violated a sculpting norm and did something I wasn’t supposed to do.
Oddly, this is a workflow that has been used for decades. Henry Moore, in the 50s, would have his sculptures enlarged in foam with clay laid over the top. In this case, I just 3D printed it and then put clay over the top.
Not to mention, that’s my original sculpt and I did it from imagination, as well.
